What better way to pass the time on a wintery day than with an adventure through the woods from the comfort of your own sofa? Woods for the Trees is a sensory screen experience in which you’ll explore a wonderful woodland through performance, a stunning soundscape, wild and free movement, film, and sensory delights.

Woods for the Trees will show you the world like you’ve never seen it before. We’ll twist, turn and kaleidoscope our way in and out of the world. We’ll look up, we’ll soar to the tree tops, look inside out and look outside in. We’ll take a deep breath together of… what is that? It smells like autumn leaves!

A white man with brown hair and a moustache holds a tree with one hand and lunges gracefully forward with the other. He is wearing a brown puffer jacket that appears to have moss growing on it. The weather appears cold but sunny.

Inside a cosy cottage, four characters are curious about a plate of unusual biscuits and a box of unknown items.

Originally performed live in January 2023, Wood for the Trees is now available as a watch-when-you-want experience, which can be watched here: Woods for the Trees Watch-When-You-Want.

Audiences at the live show received parcels full of sensory goodies so that they could play along as they watched. Our DIY Sensory Guide for those watching whenever they want has prompts, recipes and ideas for sensory fun you can create to join in too. You can find the DIY Sensory Guide here: DIY Sensory Guide.

This is a show for everyone. If you have any questions regarding accessibility or there’s anything that we can do to make you feel more welcome, please get in touch. We hope you enjoy the show!
